Some of the items covered in the books was not new to me.? However, I really do like the format of having a more specific topic in a book compared to a large tome covering all aspects of parenting.? When I have a trouble spot or concern, I don?t want to be digging through a big book or wading through thousands of web pages looking for information and advice.? (Besides, some of what you find online is just bad information or advice!)
?
Even after having three boys go through toddlerhood, I find there are days when J does something that?ll have me scratching my head.? I love that God creates us to all be unique individuals with our own personalities.? However, there are times when I wish there was a one size fits all solution to issues (e.g. potty training the little boy who only wants to head to the bathroom sometimes or fights napping for fear of missing out on something fun with the big boys.)? I?m going to be re-reading the section on potty training more than once in the book on parenting young children at this rate!

I also appreciate that these titles are up to date on research, especially when it comes to the nutrition book.? Overweight and obese children is becoming more common place and how to approach achieving a healthy weight gets its own chapter in that title.? Even as an adult, I found information to benefit not only my children, but me.
?
Finally, I?ve entered the new territory of parenting teens in recent years and all the challenges that brings.? While some of the issues covered in this title do not seem to apply as the boys are homeschooled, I really like the chapter about passing the baton.? Having the boys grow into men that honor their family and God is the ultimate goal for me as a mother and that chapter speaks to that wonderfully.
?
Each of the titles retail for $12.99 and can be found through many major retailers.
