PlayStation Vita won't support simultaneous gaming and web-surfing (Digital Trends)

You?ll be able to do a lot of things with the PlayStation Vita, but pausing your game to look up the best strategy for defeating an enemy isn?t one of them.

According to Andriasang, Sony has confirmed that Vita users won?t be able to use the system?s web browser while playing a game ? though there will be a long list of functions that are available without leaving the game (including Twitter and the user?s music library).

Those who looked forward to going online in mid-game should take heart, however. Sony said the simultaneous web-browsing and game-playing won?t be available ?initially? ? meaning that this could conceivably change down the road.

Who knows? Maybe it will change in the time between the Vita?s release in Japan (December 17) and its arrival in North America and Europe (February 22).
