Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is not going down without a fight regarding the salary cap penalties that were levied on the Cowboys during the 2010 uncapped year. Jones made it clear that he does not agree with the actions against his club, and his biggest argument is that all player contracts were approved by the league:
"I don't want to make our case here," Jones added. "But all of our contracts were approved by the league and you can't approve a contract that is in violation of league rules. You can't even get it on the books if it isn't in sync with league rules. So you start there."
Jones also hinted about bringing a lawsuit against the league:
"We will and have expressed that we don't agree with that. What we're doing is a combination procedural and legal and all of that."
Even with the salary cap restrictions for this offseason, the Cowboys have essentially gone out and signed who they wanted.
