can kindergarden teachers move up to ... - Education Reference

Question by country*girl=]94: can kindergarden teachers move up to elementary school teaching? like 1st-5th?
I was just wondering. Because I?m going to 10th grade this year and i intend to to be a kindergarden teacher at primarily and then maybe a few years down the road become like a 1-5th grade teacher. If i become a teacher would I teach all of the subjects (math, english, history and science)? Also, im already getting a two years associates degree for college consequently should i go to a community college or to a university. I make great grades and i am capable of going into the medical domain nonetheless my desire is to teach elementary school kids. But i don?t know if i should or not in that of the pay. please answer my questions. Oh and also what is their salary and benifits of teaching elementary and kindergardeners? How long will i have to go to college?

Yes, kindergarten teachers can move up to elementary. I remember my kindergarten teacher was moving up to teach 1st grade as I was going into 2nd grade cause my mom was saying I could repeat 1st grade and have Mrs. M. twice.
